John Brogden

John Brogden is the CEO of the Financial Services Council, which represents Australia's retail and wholesale funds management businesses, superannuation funds, life insurers, financial advisory networks, trustee companies and public trustees. The Council has over 130 members who are responsible for investing more than $1.8 trillion on behalf of 11 million Australians.
In August 2006 John was appointed CEO of health insurer Manchester Unity, which he successfully merged with HCF in December 2008. From 2006 to 2009 John was the Chairman of Abacus Australian Mutuals, the body representing Australia’s credit unions and building societies.
